The biggest Xbox Series X exclusive games announced for 2021 & beyond.
Xbox got absolutely embarrassed by PlayStation in the games department last-gen, and it was all due to a severe lack of interesting exclusives. However, this list of upcoming Xbox Series X exclusives paints a very different picture for 2021 and beyond. [Check out: The Biggest Upcoming PlayStation 5 Exclusives]
HALO INFINITE – TBC 2021

Developer: 343 Industries
The Halo franchise – with five main entries and several spin off games – will be making a predictable yet well welcomed return to to the Xbox platform in 2021, with what is probably the most anticipated Xbox series X exclusive game to date. I can’t speak on gameplay, but from what I’ve seen of the graphics so far, the game looks absolutely stunning!
FABLE – TBC

Developer: Playground Games
We’re finally getting a new Fable game and with glorious next-gen visuals. Only it’s not being made by the legendary Lionhead Studios, but instead being developed by Playground Games (The development studio behind Forza Horizon). It’s important to note that this game is not a sequel but a full on reboot.
STATE OF DECAY 3 – TBC

Developer: Undead Labs
It’s not an industry giant like Halo or Fable but it’s a damn good co-op experience. Both previous entries were fairly well received by both players and critics alike. Despite never playing the first game, I can tell you that I had a blast in State of Decay 2 shooting through zombie hordes and building bases with a friend.
HELLBLADE 2 – TBC 2021

Developer: Ninja Theory
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was one of the most interesting AA games of last-gen, garnering universal praise for creating something unique and interesting: An action-adventure game that allowed players to experience the mind of a protagonist suffering from psychosis. The developer behind the game was recently picked up by Microsoft and will be releasing the sequel as an Xbox exclusive.
THE MEDIUM – JANUARY 2021

Developer: Bloober Team
The medium is a brand-new IP being developed by “Bloober Team”. The Medium is a next-gen psychological horror game, featuring never-seen-before and officially patented Dual-Reality Gameplay that plays out across two worlds displayed at the same time. Check out the Trailer.
SCORN – TBC 2021

Developer: EBB Software
I have no idea what this game is about, besides it obviously being a horror game with some action oriented gameplay. What I do know is that it looks absolutely awesome. The aesthetic is wild and portrays some sort of freaky bio-mechanical world or ship that reminds me of the movie Prometheus.
FORZA MOTOTSPORT – TBC

Developer: Turn 10
Xbox’s flagship racing game is back with yet another entry and it’s looking better than ever. It’s also brilliantly optimized and said to be running at 4K, 120FPS on the Series X.
AVOWED -TBC

Developer: Obsidian
Coming from the legendary RPG developer Obsidian (most known for developing The Outer Worlds, Fallout: New Vegas, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II) is brand new IP called Avowed. Avowed is described as “An epic, first-person RPG set in the fantasy world of Eora”.
AS DUSK FALLS -TBC

Developer: Interior/Night
As Dusk Falls is an interactive drama that follows the lives of two families affected by a botched robbery in small town Arizona.
EVERWILD -TBC

Developer: Rare
Another Legendary studio, Rare, acquired by Microsoft in 2002, is developing this beautiful looking game. There’s not a lot of information on this game right now but it’s some sort of fantasy game with an anime-like aesthetic. Again, I’ll have to point you to the trailer.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 – TBC 2021

Developer: GSC Game world
A sequel to the original, Stalker: Clear Sky, from 2008. A first-person shooter survival horror game with role-playing elements and a gritty photo-realistic art style.
WARHAMMER 40K: DARKTIDE – TBC 2021

Developer: Fatshark
Developer, Fatshark, are bringing Valve’s Left 4 Dead formula over to the Warhammer universe. They did something similar with Vermintide, and let’s just say I wasn’t a fan. But hopefully they get it right this time.
12 MINUTES – TBC 2021

Developer: Luis Antonio
Stuck in an apartment on an infinite loop with trial and error game-play. It doesn’t look it from the picture but I promise you, this game looks amazing. So once again I am linking you the trailer.
SABLE – TBC 2021

Developer: Shedworks
Sable boasts stunning and unique visuals, using an art style known as ‘Ligne Claire’ that was popularised in the 1950’s. The game takes place in a vast desert-like landscape and you’ll be accompanied by relaxing music created by indie musician, Japanese Breakfast.
THE GUNK – SEPTEMBER 2021

Developer: Image & Form games
The Gunk is basically Super Mario Sunshine with a darker tone.
